American Airlines Flight 11 crashes into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City.

8:46a.m.

While personnel in Chesley Brown's Corporate Command Center in Atlanta monitor the situation, American Airlines Flight 175 crashes into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. Personnel realize that the act is intentional and activate Security Condition 2.

9:03a.m.

Personnel in our National Command Center in Kansas City notify corporate headquarters of the events and continue to monitor the situation.

9:04a.m.

Command Center staff in Kansas City and Atlanta call every property we manage to inform them of the heightened Security Condition merited by the morning's events. No explanation is necessary.

9:10a.m.

Personnel at managed properties follow standard procedures for their sites including bag searches, additional patrols and a higher level of access control to the property.

9:12a.m.

After hearing the news, Brent C. Brown, Chesley Brown's Chairman and CEO, calls in from Tokyo, Japan to assess the situation and be briefed on steps taken.

9:15a.m.

Every Chesley Brown managed property is confirmed at "SecCon 2".
