The attack last week that killed three and wounded at least 50 others, including a police officer, has prompted Queen Elizabeth to review security protocol and boost protection.

New barriers have been erected around Windsor Castle prior to the “Changing of the Guard”. The ceremony draws over a million visitors annually, and the barriers would be an addition to the usual road closures.

Although the Assistant Chief Constable of the Thames Valley Police denies any intelligence indicating a specific threat, the recent events in Westminster support the need for additional security measures.
