Chesley Brown International Employee Spotlight
Nolan Porter

Nolan recently began his career with Chesley Brown this April as the Director of Security at one of our newest sites, Ponce City Market. Ponce City Market is a prominent and historic Southern icon, a local landmark on the cusp of evolving into the vibrant centerpiece of four dynamic Atlanta communities and a regional beacon of retail, office and residential activity. While currently closed for construction, Ponce City Market will reopen in 2014 with two million square-feet of retail, restaurants, office, condos and apartments.
Prior to joining Chesley Brown, Nolan worked with The Gwinnett County Public School System. He served honorably in the United Stated Marine Corps as a member of one of its elite Reconnaissance Teams. His background also includes supervisory experience as a Police Officer. Nolan believes there are many aspects to security, but he cites professionalism as the most important aspect of security. Nolan said "Professional appearance will speak volumes about you long before anyone ever has an opportunity to meet you. Professionalism will dictate your performance; it will manifest itself through your customer service. This is a core aspect in which one can build a strong and solid foundation for a highly successful security program."
Nolan’s hobbies include riding motorcycles, he is looking forward to riding his next acquisition, a Suzuki GSXR 1300 Hayabusa in the very near future. Nolan confides that his wife and children serve as his driving motivation, especially on those not so good days and he firmly believes that not all his success in life is due to hard work alone, but says "I have to pay tribute to God, for without him I’m nothing." He also said he had to thank his security team at Ponce City Market, who put the rubber to the road.
